The Corwin Paper Shade Table Lamp stands 27″ on a stem barely thicker than a pencil, with a rectangular watercolour-paper shade at the top and a flat steel plate at the foot. Two small collars clamp the stem, and the twisted fabric cord runs down the outside of it rather than hidden within — a deliberate detail, not an oversight.

Watercolour paper diffuses differently from fabric. It has body without weave, so the light comes through as an even glow with no texture pattern in it — the shade reads as four lit planes rather than a bright cone.

Where It Works

A tall slim table lamp for surfaces where height matters more than footprint: an entry console, a sideboard, a desk corner, or a bedside where the light needs to clear a stack of books. Available in polished chrome or brown. Plug-in, takes one E27 bulb — bulb sold separately.

The shade is paper: dust it with a dry brush or a soft cloth, and keep it away from water.

Overall Height — 27″	27″ tall (68.5 cm) from the tabletop to the top of the shade — taller than a conventional table lamp, which is the point. On a console it reads at standing eye level; on a desk it clears a monitor.
The Shade	A rectangular watercolour-paper shade, 7.9″ along its longer face and 6.7″ across the shorter one — so the lamp reads wider from the front than from the side. Turn it to suit the wall behind.
The Base	A single flat plate, no wider than the shade above it. Nothing overhangs, so the lamp sits flush against a wall or into the corner of a desk without the base getting in the way.
Where It Fits	Allow a clear 8″ × 7″ of surface. Comfortable on a console or sideboard from about 10″ deep; on a nightstand, choose one at least 12″ square so there is still room for a book and a glass.
Setup	Plug-in with a standard US two-prong plug — no wiring needed. Fit one E27 bulb, press the switch on the fixture and it is ready. Bulbs sold separately; warm white suits the paper best.

Sizing tip: at 27″ this is a tall lamp on a small plate, so it wants a surface that is stable rather than large. On a console it can sit close to the wall and let the cord fall behind; on an open table, run the cord down the side where the two collars hold it — the exposed cable is part of the design, not something to tuck away.

The Stem Decides Everything

Same paper shade, same slim profile. What changes is whether the stem is the first thing you notice or the last.

Polished Chrome A Bright Vertical Line Chrome mirrors whatever is around it, so the stem reads as a bright line and the flat base doubles the tabletop beneath it. Lit, it picks up the warmth from the shade above and glows along its length. The choice for glass, marble, pale walls and rooms with other polished metal in them.

Brown A Stem That Steps Back Brown absorbs light instead of returning it, so the stem thins to a dark stroke and the shade appears to float above the surface. Lit, the contrast is stronger still. The choice for walnut, leather, warm plaster and rooms where you want the light and not the fixture.

What both share: the watercolour-paper shade. Paper has body without weave, so lit it glows as four even planes with no texture pattern showing through — and unlit it stays a clean off-white rectangle rather than a fabric drum that shows every thread. Use a warm white bulb: paper carries colour temperature straight into the room.

The Shade

Paper, and You Can Tell

Watercolour paper has body without weave — a matte, faintly grained surface with no threads to catch the light. The corners are folded and joined rather than stitched, so each panel stays flat and reads as a plane rather than a curve.

A Part Made on Purpose

The exposed cord is not a shortcut. It runs through a machined collar with a rubber grommet and a set screw, so the braided cable is held clear of the stem and can be repositioned. A hidden cable needs no such part.

 

The Base

Thin Enough to Vanish

A single flat plate, polished to a mirror in the chrome finish so it picks up the surface it stands on. No weighted dome, no visible fixings — the stem passes straight through and the plate does the rest.

Worth knowing about paper: it dusts with a dry brush and nothing else. Water, damp cloths and cleaners mark it permanently — paper does not recover the way fabric does. Keep the lamp out of bathrooms and away from open windows in damp weather, and it will stay as it arrived.

1. Return Period and Product Condition

Our standard return policy is valid for 30 days from the date you receive your order. If more than 30 days have passed since delivery, unfortunately, we cannot offer a refund or exchange.

Important: Items that have been installed, have broken wiring, or loose crystals are not eligible for return.

All returned items must meet the following requirements:

• Original Condition: Must be unused, unworn, and include all original tags, labels, and packaging.

• Complete Accessories: All accessories, manuals, and included items must be intact. Items requiring assembly must be returned unassembled.

• Proof of Purchase: You must provide a valid order number or proof of purchase.

Exceptions – Cannot Be Returned:

• Customized, modified, or special-order items (including products marked “Custom Invoice,” “Made to Order,” or “Final Sale”).

• Items not in their original condition or packaging (used or altered).

• Returns caused by misunderstanding the product listing.

2. Eligible for Returns/Exchanges

Customers are entitled to a full refund or replacement in the following cases:

1. The product is damaged due to quality issues or transportation.
   

2. Any item returned to sender undelivered.

3. Any item not delivered within 90 days.

For all eligible returns, we bear all costs and guarantee 100% return/refund or free replacement.

3. Not Eligible for Return/Exchange

Certain items are not eligible for returns or exchanges:

4. Shipping Costs for Customer-Initiated Returns

If a return is initiated due to the customer’s personal reasons, the customer is responsible for the return shipping costs. The exact fee depends on the chosen courier service. Customer-related reasons include:

• The customer feels the product does not meet their expectations;

• The customer finds the size too small or too large;

• The customer believes the color does not match expectations;

• The customer wants to return the product for personal reasons (e.g., changed mind or no longer needs the item);

• The customer ordered the wrong item or quantity;

• The customer did not carefully read the product description and is surprised by the product’s features or specifications.

5. Return & Exchange Process

Before returning any items (within 30 days), please contact our customer service team. Returns without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Step 2: Wait for Authorization

Before sending your package, you must contact Hoailamp via email to obtain an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number. Items sent without authorization may not be processed.

• Take photos of the product and packaging before shipping to show it is in original condition.

Step 4: Refund or Exchange Processing

• Refunds:

  We will refund to your payment account after returned once the refund approved. Keep in mind that it may also take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and issue your refund. 

  If you paid with a credit or debit card, we will refund your money to the same card once we receive your return. Refunds will take 5-7 business days.

  If you paid with PayPal, we will refund your money to your PayPal account once we receive your return. Refunds will take approximately 1-3 business days.

• Exchanges: We will process your return within 3–5 business days after receiving the returned item, and ship the replacement once the inspection is completed.

6. European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

EU customers have the right to cancel or return an order within 14 days without justification. The item must be unused, with tags, and in original packaging, with proof of purchase.

• Order Cancellation: Within 24 hours of confirmation, free of charge.

• Custom Items: Cannot be canceled.

• Non-Custom Items:

  • Cancel within 24 hours of placing the order, no cost.
