Each shade is cut from real alabaster stone, so its cloud-like veining is unique, and when lit it glows a warm, soft light with no glare.

The Isolde shade is carved from a single block of natural alabaster into a soft half-dome. Like marble, the stone carries its own cloud-like veining, so the pattern on your sconce will never match another.
Below it, two ribbed solid brass rods with turned bead knuckles drop from a round antique brass backplate, a detail borrowed from Art Deco hardware.

Our standard return policy is valid for 30 days from the date you receive your order. If more than 30 days have passed since delivery, unfortunately, we cannot offer a refund or exchange.
Important: Items that have been installed, have broken wiring, or loose crystals are not eligible for return.
All returned items must meet the following requirements:

Complete Accessories: All accessories, manuals, and included items must be intact. Items requiring assembly must be returned unassembled.

Isolde is the heroine of one of the oldest love stories in Europe. In the legend of Tristan and Isolde, the lovers meet in secret by the glow of a single lamp, and the light becomes their signal. We named this sconce for her because it does the same thing: it makes a quiet corner feel like a place to linger.
The material has its own history. Long before stained glass was common, churches in Spain and Italy filled their windows with thin slices of alabaster. Sunlight came through warm and amber, and the veins of the stone glowed like a map.

Alabaster dome
The shade is a half dome of natural alabaster, thin enough for light to pass through yet solid enough to feel like stone in the hand.
Lit from inside, the stone shifts from cool ivory to warm honey, and its veins appear like brushstrokes. No two domes share the same pattern.
Backplate & holder
A round backplate of solid brass, 5.9″ across, covers the junction box and carries the arm that holds the dome.
Inside, two G9 lamp holders sit side by side so the dome glows evenly from edge to edge. Bulbs are not included; warm white LEDs at 2700–3000K look best.
Brass drops
Two ribbed brass drops hang beneath the dome, each turned with bead details like the finial of an old candlestand.
They add weight and rhythm under the stone and catch a little of the light below, so the sconce looks finished from every angle.
