Description
Scala Alabaster Wall Sconce is built from sleeves of natural Spanish alabaster stacked along the wall in soft steps, like a carved stone staircase. Each half-round piece is cut and polished by hand, and the layers overlap to cast gentle shadow lines. When switched on, the integrated LED lights the whole sconce from within, so the stone glows warm and even and its cloudy veining comes alive.

Setup in 4 StepsPower off, mount, wire, switch on
1Power off. Turn off the circuit at the breaker before any work.
2Mount the plate. Fix the metal mounting plate to the wall junction box.
3Wire & fit. Connect the wires and fit the alabaster sleeves as shown in the included instructions; a qualified electrician is recommended.
4Switch on. Restore power and use your wall switch.
Caring for Your ScalaKeep the stone dry and dust-free
·Dust the stone dry. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth when the light is off and cool.
·No water or cleaners. Alabaster is porous; liquids and chemicals can mark it.
·Keep it dry. Use in dry indoor rooms, away from showers and steam.

Refund and Return Policy
Thank you for shopping with us. We understand that you want every item you purchase to perfectly suit your home. To ensure a pleasant and worry-free shopping experience, please read the following policy carefully before making your purchase.
1. Return Period and Product Condition
Our standard return policy is valid for 30 days from the date you receive your order. If more than 30 days have passed since delivery, unfortunately, we cannot offer a refund or exchange.
Important: Items that have been installed, have broken wiring, or loose crystals are not eligible for return.
All returned items must meet the following requirements:

Original Condition: Must be unused, unworn, and include all original tags, labels, and packaging.

Complete Accessories: All accessories, manuals, and included items must be intact. Items requiring assembly must be returned unassembled.

Proof of Purchase: You must provide a valid order number or proof of purchase.
Exceptions – Cannot Be Returned:

Customized, modified, or special-order items (including products marked “Custom Invoice,” “Made to Order,” or “Final Sale”).

Items not in their original condition or packaging (used or altered).

2. Eligible for Returns/Exchanges
Customers are entitled to a full refund or replacement in the following cases:

For all eligible returns, we bear all costs and guarantee 100% return/refund or free replacement.
3. Not Eligible for Return/Exchange

4. Shipping Costs for Customer-Initiated Returns
If a return is initiated due to the customer’s personal reasons, the customer is responsible for the return shipping costs. The exact fee depends on the chosen courier service. Customer-related reasons include:

The customer finds the size too small or too large;

The customer believes the color does not match expectations;

Before sending your package, you must contact Hoailamp via email to obtain an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number. Items sent without authorization may not be processed.

If you paid with PayPal, we will refund your money to your PayPal account once we receive your return. Refunds will take approximately 1-3 business days.

Exchanges: We will process your return within 3–5 business days after receiving the returned item, and ship the replacement once the inspection is completed.
6. European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

Scala comes in three heights, each with its own rhythm of stone. Pick one to see it off and on, and where it works best. Every size is also sold as a pair.
The bedside step
Three sleeves narrow as they climb, like a short flight of stairs. Tiered is the most compact Scala, perfect where the wall is small or the light should stay close: beside a bed, next to a mirror or above a low console.
As a pair, mount the centre about 30″ above the mattress so the glow falls on the pillow, not in your eyes.

The hallway column
Three equal half-round sections stacked one on another, with two fine shadow seams between them. Sleeve is the calmest, most architectural Scala: a column of light that suits hallways, living rooms and either side of a doorway.
Its even rhythm repeats beautifully down a corridor, every 6 to 8 feet.

The staircase spire
Five tiers swell to their widest in the middle and narrow again at both ends, like a spindle or a full musical phrase. Spire is the tallest Scala, made for high walls, stairways, fireplaces and grand entrances.
On a stair wall, keep it 60–66″ above the tread so it follows the climb.

A scale you can see
In Italian, scala means both a staircase and a musical scale: a series of steps, each a little higher than the last. We wanted a sconce with that same quiet rhythm.
So instead of a single shade, Scala is built from half-round sleeves of alabaster, stacked on the wall one above another. Each step overlaps the next, leaving a thin line of shadow between them, and when the light comes on the stone glows note by note, from the first step to the last.

Every Scala is built from three to five half-round sleeves of Spanish alabaster. Each one is cut, hollowed and polished by hand, then matched to its neighbours so the steps read as one flight of stone.

Alabaster is quarried, not manufactured, so your sleeves will differ from every photograph here. Tell us the direction you like and we will hand-select every sleeve for you.

Strong marks to the wall. If a sleeve has a heavier vein, we note which side sits lowest or faces the frame.
