The Sylva Brass Branch Table Lamp grows from a round textured base into a twisting trunk of solid cast brass, with five slender stems curling out to hold egg-shaped shades of clear seeded glass. The bark-like texture of the trunk and the tiny air bubbles in each glass shade give it the feel of a small sculpture as much as a light.
Lit, the five glass buds glow warm and the seeded bubbles catch the light like dew, scattering soft sparkle across the wall behind. At 31.5″ tall and 13.8″ across, it makes a statement on a dining room sideboard, a bedroom dresser, a study desk or a kitchen counter, bringing an organic, Art Nouveau-inspired accent to modern, transitional and eclectic interiors. The trunk and base of the Sylva are cast in solid brass, then hand-finished so every knot, ridge and patch of bark texture catches the light. Five slim stems curl out from the trunk, each ending in a textured cup that holds an egg-shaped shade of clear seeded glass.
Because the texture is worked by hand and the glass is seeded with real air bubbles, small differences in tone, texture and bubble pattern are part of each lamp, not flaws.

Our standard return policy is valid for 30 days from the date you receive your order. If more than 30 days have passed since delivery, unfortunately, we cannot offer a refund or exchange.
Important: Items that have been installed, have broken wiring, or loose crystals are not eligible for return.
All returned items must meet the following requirements:

Original Condition: Must be unused, unworn, and include all original tags, labels, and packaging.

Complete Accessories: All accessories, manuals, and included items must be intact. Items requiring assembly must be returned unassembled.

Named for the forest, drawn from Art Nouveau
Sylva is the Latin word for forest. Around 1900, the designers of the Art Nouveau movement took the forest indoors: they turned stems, buds and tendrils into lamps, railings and door handles, and made the curling line of a growing plant the signature of a whole era.
The Sylva follows that idea. Its trunk twists up from a round base the way a young branch does, then splits into five stems that curl outward, each ending in a single glass bud. Nothing on it is straight, because nothing in a forest is.
The glass is seeded with tiny air bubbles on purpose. Lit, they catch the light like dew on new growth, so the lamp feels less like a fixture and more like a branch brought in from the garden.

The round base is solid brass, worked by hand into a hammered surface that steadies the whole branch on the table.

Where each stem leaves the trunk, the joint is blended by hand so the brass swells and knots like a real branch, then ends in a textured cup that holds the bulb.

How a branch becomes brass
Many branch lamps are bent tubing with a brass-coloured coat. The Sylva is cast, joined and chased by hand in our workshop, which takes more steps and more hands.

The cast sections are joined with a torch, then the joints are filed and blended until they look grown, not assembled.
